QA/QC Engineer

A medium-sized main contractor is seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer for educational and housing projects across Wicklow and Dublin.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP).

• Ensure compliance with BCAR, TGD requirements and Public Works Contracts.

• Conduct regular site QA inspections and manage NCRs through to close-out.

• Witness material deliveries and testing, including concrete cubes and compaction.

• Coordinate third-party testing such as precast, airtightness and CCTV inspections.

• Inspect foundations, roofs, precast, façades, fire-rated doors and fireproofing.

• Liaise with the Assigned Certifier and Design Certifier.

• Maintain QA records and support the Site Manager with quality documentation.

• Verify as-built drawings, O&M manuals, certificates and handover documentation.

Requirements

• Previous QA/QC experience with a main contractor.

• Strong knowledge of BCAR and construction quality standards.

• Excellent site inspection, documentation and communication skills.

• Relevant construction/engineering qualification preferred
