Finishing Foreman – Galway 

A leading Irish main contractor is seeking an experienced Finishing Foreman to join the site management team on a major construction project in Galway City. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile development with a well-established contractor delivering large-scale residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing all finishing and fit-out activities, ensuring works are completed to the highest quality standards, safely, on programme, and in line with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all finishing and snagging activities on site.
• Coordinate subcontractors and direct labour during the final stages of construction.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout all finishing works.
• Monitor progress against programme and report regularly to Site Management.
• Manage and close out snag lists in conjunction with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and building regulations.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure defects are rectified promptly.
• Promote and maintain high health and safety standards on site.
• Assist with project handover and completion documentation.
• Liaise effectively with Site Managers, Project Managers, Design Teams, and Clients.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman with a main contractor.
• Strong track record delivering high-quality finishes on large-scale construction projects.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work to demanding project deadlines.
• Relevant construction qualifications desirable.
• Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and other relevant site certifications.
