Technical Writer/Document Controller vacancy


Our client handle construction projects for government services accounts both in Germany and abroad, in particular for the U.S. Forces. The service spectrum comprises the planning and implementation of civil engineering and industrial construction projects, roadways as well as related services. They also collaborate close with other business divisions of the group throughout all segments.

  • As a Technical Writer/Document Controller at [Company Name], you will play a crucial role in ensuring the clarity, accuracy, and accessibility of our technical documentation. Your responsibilities will include:


  • Documentation Creation: Developing clear and concise technical documents, including user manuals, technical guides, and reference materials.


  • Content Management: Organizing and maintaining a central repository of technical documents, ensuring version control and accessibility for relevant teams.


  • Collaboration: Working closely with subject matter experts, engineers, and other teams to gather information and translate complex concepts into understandable documentation.


  • Quality Assurance: Reviewing and editing documents to ensure accuracy, adherence to company standards, and alignment with the target audience's needs.


  • Document Improvement: Continuously refining documentation processes and templates to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.


  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that technical documents meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.


  • Training Support: Assisting in the development of training materials and tutorials to facilitate users' understanding of our products or systems.


  • Communication: Effectively communicating complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.




  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Technical Communication, Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent practical experience.


  • Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in technical writing and document control, preferably in a technology-driven environment.


  • Writing Proficiency: Exceptional writing and editing skills with an ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.


  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to guidelines.


  • Collaborative Nature: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts.


  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage and prioritize multiple documentation projects.


  • Tools and Technologies: Proficiency with document authoring and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Confluence, Git).


  • Adaptability: Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and technologies, adapting to changes in a dynamic environment.


  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to comprehend complex technical systems and translate them into user-friendly documentation.
