IT Systems Project Manager- Surrey- Groundworks Subcontractor

Our client is currently recruiting for an IT Systems Project Manager to be office based in Surrey. They are a Groundwork and Concrete Frame Specialists.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, streamline and maximise uptime of backend Line of Business applications
• Provide assistance, expertise and training to the IT Team
• Manage and support the clients backend SQL, SharePoint, O365, Teams infrastructure
• Engage with the IT Team and Business to establish needs and work to draft proposals for improvement/replacement/upgrades
• Champion excellent project communications between the client and its stakeholders
• Ensure effective utilisation of project team skills and availability
• Develop and maintain standard project templates and checklists
• Lead, attend, manage internal and external meetings with all stakeholders
• Promote timely update all relevant project systems and site documentation
• Understanding what the client or company wishes to achieve from the project.
• Agree timescales and resources required to carry out the project.
• Working with the Head of IT draw up a detailed plans for each stage of the project.
• Liaising with 3rd parties and suppliers when required for completion of projects.
• Ensuring project quality standards are adhered to and maintained
• Ensuring full project to support handover is completed
• Managing risks to avoid delays with projects
• Providing solutions and advice on the management of projects

Required attributes for the role

• Excellent verbal and written communication, with clear and precise business English
• Valid Prince 2 (or equivalent qualification)
• Easily communicates technical concepts to a non-technical audience
• Organised and proficient with all system tools
• Ability to analyse IT project proposals and apply logical solutions to resourcing issues
• Able to identify task skills requirements and allocate/delegate as appropriate
• Be a self-starter, managing your own time and availability effectively

Desirable for the role:
• SQL/SharePoint accreditation
• Windows Server knowledge
• Microsoft Office experience
• Line of Business application knowledge (Business Central)
• Prince2 Practitioner
