Safety Manager / H&S / Health and Safety / Construction

Our client are a high end fit out contractor with a number of projects in London and Surroundings. They now seek a H&S Manage to join them on a full time permanent basis.

Main Responsibilities Include:

  • Producing RAMS & O & M's for each site
  • Develop, and where appropriate deliver tool box talks on site or to office staff
  • Ensure managers training is up to date inc the training matrix
  • Review and monitor health and safety audit systems, policies, procedures and risk assessments.
  • Ensure health and safety is addressed in a co-ordinated manner on site
  • Ensure suitable and sufficient health and safety communication to the business on key issues
  • Develop initiatives to increase health and safety awareness within the business
  • Ensure the office is running in line with current legislation
  • Update the directors with key legislation changes and what these mean to the business.
  • Evaluate data from accident, near miss and RIDDOR reportable incidents and undertake accident investigations where necessary

To be successful in the role you will ideally possess the following skills and attributes:

  • NEBOSH Construction/General Certificate
  • NEBOSH Diploma/NVQ Level 5 in OHAS would be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated experience in the UK for a similar conractor
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Must be computer literate
