QA Engineer

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum

Our client is recruiting for a Quality Assurance Engineer for Hinkley Point C based in Bridgewater, Somerset. 

The Quality Engineer appointed for the HPC project will work within a project joint venture organisation and will be responsible for ensuring that project quality objectives are achieved through implementation and enforcement of the Project Quality Plan and ensuring compliance to project specifications, procedures, Inspection Test Plans, and related controls. 

Roles and Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing day-to-day activities that relate to the project’s scope to ensure conformance to procedural requirements, material specifications, and process completion
• Compiling of Material Receiving Records and review of related compliance certificates 
• Collect and organise records and compile Production Quality Release Certificates and Quality Release Certificates to facilitate the release of fabricated items.
• Assist in compiling of Lifetime Quality Records with support and guidance from Quality Manager.
• Establish and monitor document templates and processes utilised to fulfil the requirements outlined in ITPs.
• Coordinate quality controls performed on site and in workshop in accordance with ITP quality criteria ensuring project team can repeat compliance.
• Assist on the establishment, analysis and closure of non-conformities reports when detected on site.
• Assist the Quality Manager in performance measurement (e.g., system audits, site inspections, culture

Qualification, Skills and Experience 

• Intermediate/ advanced skills in MS Office suite; beginner/ intermediate skills in SharePoint, Teams.
• Quality Control experience or similar role.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems standard and related quality management principles.
• Use of SharePoint as a Document Management System (advantage).
• Ability to learn and develop electronic management tools to achieve project objectives relating to demonstrating quality compliance and improvement.
