Mechanical Engineer | Hospital Project | Dublin
€50k-€80k per annum + Package (DOE)

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team for a major hospital project in Dublin.

As a key member of the project delivery team, you will be responsible for the design, coordination, and implementation of mechanical systems in a healthcare environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the construction of a state-of-the-art healthcare facility, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design, specification, and coordination of mechanical systems, including HVAC, medical gases, plumbing, and fire protection systems
• Collaborate with design teams, architects, and other disciplines to ensure project alignment
• Review and validate technical submittals, shop drawings, and specifications
• Plan and manage mechanical works on-site, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
• Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems in compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to project specifications and safety protocols
• Provide technical advice and solutions to challenges during the project lifecycle
• Attend site meetings and progress reviews, preparing reports and documentation as required
• Manage quality assurance processes and ensure all systems are fully certified upon completion

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• 3+ years of relevant experience for intermediate roles; 7+ years for senior positions
• Proven experience working on large-scale healthcare or similar projects is highly desirable
• Proficiency in mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
