Works Inspector (Infrastructure)

Our client is a leading project management company who are currently undertaking a large infrastructure project in North Dublin, as part of a Capital Investment Plan of circa €2bn within an operating airport environment. 

Role

  • The Works Inspector is responsible for overseeing the safety, quality, construction, testing, commissioning, engaging with stakeholders, handover and completion including rectification of all defects of specific projects.
  • The Works Inspector is also responsible for liaising with the appropriate operational departments and ensuring that the contractor does not disrupt the everyday operation of passengers, staff and stakeholders.
  • The Works Inspector will monitor and document progress on site and report everyday activities to the Project manager.

Preferred Experience

Experienced & Qualified trades ( Mechanical, Electrical and Carpentry) with supervisory experience on major civil / building programmes / projects (preferably in the aviation sector, but large-scale commercial, retail etc.

Formal engineering training and technical qualification relevant to the discipline required, e.g. civil, structural, mechanical, electrical

Skills 

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to senior/advanced level.
  • Managing and setting the standards for a centre of excellence
  • Able to prepare engineering reports
