Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Cambridge, UK
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee and manage all aspects of cost estimation, budget control, and financial management for our projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that our projects are delivered within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
- Lead and manage the cost estimation process for projects from inception to completion.
- Conduct thorough cost analysis, providing accurate and reliable estimates for materials, labor, and other project-related expenses.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and review contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and report on project financial performance, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Provide expert advice on contractual matters and resolve disputes in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Mentor and support junior members of the quantity surveying team.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on senior-level responsibilities.
- Professional membership with a recognized institution (e.g., RICS) is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, cost estimation, and budget management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficient in relevant software and tools.
