Our client is a specliast joinery contractor, based in Monaghan.

They currently require a Quantity Surveyor to work as part of its team.

They are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious person who has the ability to work unsupervised and manage their own time in an effective manner whether working alone or as part of our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a high-quality bespoke joinery and specialist fit-out company with a portfolio of “high end” corporate clients. Working on projects in Ireland, the UK and US you will be assisting on interesting and a wide range of prestigious projects.

 Reporting to:  Reporting to the Commercial Director

 Primary responsibilities include:

• Control multiple live projects at any one time
• Manage all aspects of the contractual and financial sides of projects
• Help to ensure all projects are completed within budget
• Attend pre-commencement meetings with clients and/or contractors where required
• Negotiate best price with all subcontractors and fitters & agree payment terms and payments
• Liaise with project managers and design technicians to track any changes from tender stage to the design stage
• Measure, quantify materials and complete monthly valuations on all works completed on site
• Ensure all changes/extras are quantified
• Attending client, architect and supplier meetings as/when required
