Job Title: Project Manager - Construction Sector (Tier 1 Main Contractor)
Company Overview:
Our client is a Tier 1 main contractor with an outstanding reputation in the construction industry. They are a Specialist Design & Build Contractors, Developers and Investors in multi-sector, mixed use schemes. Now seeking for a Project Manager.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the site management team on a traditional build, 66 bed hotel extension with frame already built. Would suit someone available for an immediate start or within 1-2 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of assigned construction projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Provide strategic guidance and direction to project teams, ensuring clear understanding of project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Plan and organize resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to ensure efficient project execution.
- Monitor and track project progress, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues proactively.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality control measures, and project specifications.
- Prepare and present project reports, including financial analysis, progress updates, and key milestones, to senior management and clients.
- Manage and negotiate contracts, variations, and claims, ensuring commercial viability and profitability of projects.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their professional development and growth within the organization.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction sector, preferably with a Tier 1 main contractor.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and industry best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering on time and within budget.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate project teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and procedures.
