MEP Construction Manager | DC Project

A leading Construction Company with a reputation for delivering high-quality, innovative, and sustainable projects across various sectors, is seeking an experienced MEP Construction Manager to join their team on a major, new Data Centre projects in Slough, UK.
As the MEP Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and management of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) aspects of a large-scale data center project.
You will ensure that the MEP works are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, coordinating with subcontractors, the project team, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed work plans and schedules for MEP activities, aligning them with the overall project timeline
- Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure MEP systems are designed and installed correctly
- Review MEP designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards
- Oversee the installation of MEP systems on-site, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure high standards of workmanship and material quality
- Manage MEP subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that they have the resources needed to complete their work effectively
- Ensure that all MEP installations meet the project’s quality standards and are completed in line with relevant codes, regulations, and best practices
- Implement rigorous testing and commissioning procedures to verify the performance of MEP systems
- Identify potential risks related to MEP works and develop mitigation strategies to address them
- Ensure that all MEP activities adhere to safety protocols and minimize the risk of incidents on-site
- Monitor MEP project costs and assist in managing the budget, ensuring that financial targets are met
Key Requirements:
- A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in MEP management on large-scale construction projects, data centre experience essential
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction processes, and industry standards
- Proven track record in managing MEP subcontractors and coordinating complex MEP installations
- Proficiency in project management and MEP-specific software tools, such as MS Project, AutoCAD, or Revit
