Role Requirements:

 

  • Head office is based in Shepperton, Surrey.
  • Our client will consider a candidate based anywhere UK-wide (will need to go to HQ occasionally).
  • Must have experience of “Concrete repairs”.
  • Ideally looking for Junior-Mid level (3, 4 years exp)
  • Will have to report directly to the MD.
  • Has potential to grow a team as they get busier so great opportunity

 

Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing data, trends, and project specifications to determine accurate cost estimates.

 

Quantitative Aptitude: Strong mathematical skills for calculating quantities, costs, and pricing structures.

 

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the construction, manufacturing, or relevant industry standards and practices.

 

Software Proficiency: Experience with estimation software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools.

 

Attention to Detail: Ability to review project plans and specifications meticulously, ensuring no detail goes unnoticed.

 

Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, and vendors.

 

Time Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

 

Cost Analysis: Proficient in conducting cost analysis and risk assessment to ensure accurate project budgeting.

 

Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation abilities when dealing with suppliers and subcontractors.

 

Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the success of the team and the organization.

 

Experience:

 

Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, construction management, or finance.

 

Professional Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in estimating, preferably in the [relevant industry].

 

Estimation Software: Proficiency in industry-standard estimation software and tools.

 

Project Knowledge: A proven track record of successfully estimating projects of various scales and complexities.

 

Client Interaction: Experience in engaging with clients to discuss project scope and budgetary considerations.

 

Cost Control: A history of effective cost control and value engineering in past projects.
