A well-established Construction Company based in North Dublin is seeking an experienced and qualified Estimator to join their team. The Estimator will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase by preparing accurate cost estimates for various construction projects. The position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of construction methods and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates
• Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and project requirements
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather information and clarify project details
• Identify and quantify all necessary materials, labor, and equipment needed for project completion
• Maintain accurate records of all estimates, bids, and project documentation
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, including cost breakdowns and timelines
• Monitor and update cost databases and pricing information to reflect current market conditions

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
• 3+ years of experience as an Estimator with a main contractor
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards
• Proficiency in estimating software
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
