We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of a large-scale data centre project in Leixlip, Co. Kildare.
This role suits someone who is either already operating at Assistant PM level or a strong engineering professional ready to step up into project management on major works.
You may be coming from a smaller contractor or have project experience on lower-value or residential projects and are now looking to progress your career on a complex, high-profile build.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager in the planning, coordination, and delivery of works on site
- Assist with programme management, subcontractor coordination, and progress reporting
- Monitor quality, health & safety, and compliance with project specifications
- Support cost control, procurement, and variation management
- Liaise with site teams, consultants, and client representatives
- Contribute to project documentation, reports, and handover processes
Candidate Profile
We are open to a range of backgrounds, including:
- An existing Assistant Project Manager
- A Junior Project Manager from a smaller-scale contractor
- A Senior Engineer, Site Manager, or Site Foreman with strong leadership skills and clear Project Management capability
You may not have managed a large-scale project independently but should demonstrate readiness to take that next step.
Requirements
- Degree or qualification in Engineering or Construction Management
- Strong understanding of construction processes and site operations
- Proven ability to coordinate teams and manage multiple workstreams
- Ambition to progress within project management on major projects
