Tekla/Rebar/BIM Modeller

 

Our client is a top leading deep foundation drilling contractor and is the largest in New York City with the largest owned fleet of modern foundation drilling and excavation equipment on the East coast.

Our client works with the all the biggest Developers and Construction Managers in New York City and Florida and continues to expand. They are now looking for Tekla/BIM Modeller in Co. Sligo, with possible work in America in the future.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop accurate and detailed reinforcement models using Tekla Structures software.
  • Interpret and translate design documents and engineering drawings into 3D models, ensuring precise representation of rebar layouts and connections.
  • Generate fabrication drawings, bar bending schedules, and other documentation to guide construction teams in the accurate assembly of reinforced concrete structures.
  • Implement revisions and changes to models as required throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining accuracy and consistency.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and project specifications in all rebar models and documentation.
  • Contribute to clash detection and coordination processes by identifying and resolving clashes with other building systems within the BIM environment.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide insights and solutions related to rebar modelling and detailing.
  • Keep up-to-date with advancements in BIM technology and reinforcement detailing practices to continuously improve workflows and outcomes.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Proficiency in using Tekla Structures software for rebar modelling and detailing.
  • Solid experience in rebar detailing, concrete construction, and reinforced concrete design principles.
  • Strong understanding of BIM concepts and workflows, with the ability to work in collaborative BIM environments.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality rebar models and documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to address design and construction challenges effectively.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present ideas clearly.
  • Time-management skills to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
  • Relevant certifications or degrees in engineering, architecture, construction, or a related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience with large-scale construction projects or complex structures (preferred).
