Position: Design Manager - Residential Projects

 

Location: Cambridge, UK

 

Responsibilities:

As the Design Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire design process of our residential projects, ensuring the seamless integration of creativity, functionality, and client satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:

 

Project Planning and Coordination:

 

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand design requirements and project goals.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines and budgets, ensuring efficient project delivery.

 

Design Conceptualization:

 

  • Lead the conceptualization of design ideas, creating innovative and aesthetically pleasing residential spaces.
  • Translate client preferences into design concepts, ensuring alignment with project objectives.

 

Team Leadership:

 

  • Manage a team of designers, providing guidance and inspiration throughout the design process.
  • Foster a collaborative and creative work environment, encouraging team members to contribute their unique skills and ideas.

 

Quality Control:

 

  • Conduct regular design reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards, company guidelines, and client expectations.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain high design standards and project excellence.

 

Client Communication:

 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the design phase, addressing concerns and incorporating feedback into the design process.
  • Present design concepts and proposals to clients in a clear and compelling manner.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Design Manager or a similar role in residential projects.
  • Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
