To be responsible to the Senior Project Manager for all the Construction operations of the Project.
Person Specification
1. The successful candidate is likely to have proven abilities in managing major multi-discipline construction projects in a senior construction management role. 2. Be in possession of a relevant formal qualification e.g. Degree, HND (as a minimum), or have progressed through a relevant construction trade or be a member of a Professional Institution or be actively working towards membership. e.g. CIBSE. 3. Proven competency with the integration of all construction disciplines and first-hand experience with logistics as applicable to multi-discipline construction projects is required. 4. Be commercially-aware and contractually astute, and should possess coordination skills with regards to labour resources, procurement and delivery of materials. Individuals must be effective in motivating Contractors and display competencies in dealing with Design Consultants, Statutory Authorities, and technical support staff. 5. Must have a desire to succeed and be achievement and results-oriented. 6. Ability to lead a team of Construction Managers to work effectively with the Contractors is required. 7. Possess proven problem solving competencies, as applicable to multi-discipline projects. 8. Must be competent to assess the adequacy of Contractors Method Statements and Risk Assessments. 9. Excellent communication skills and an ability to influence decisions are essential. 10. Must be willing to undertake training and a personal development program. 11. Computer literacy is essential.
