Working with up to four separate Groundwork subcontractors, two Dry Lining subcontractor, a mechanical subcontractor, a brickwork subcontractor and a decorating subcontractor on various types of projects.

Responsibilities include, managing the financial aspects of the projects, contract preparation and administration, measurement, valuations, variation agreement, claims and final account preparation and settlement. Preparing and validating estimates; Dispute resolution by Litigation or Adjudication.

Project management support where required, discussing and agreeing office systems, procedures and resource levels. Training junior members of the team; Contractor/supplier selection including, preparing and agreeing contracts strategy, evaluating responses and agreeing shortlists, agreeing tender selection criteria, preparing tender/contract documentation, evaluating tenders (on quality and price), interviewing potential suppliers, and preparing reports;

Reviewing supplier performance; agreeing contractual disputes, valuations and final accounts;

Active risk management, including: Identifying, evaluating, allocating and mitigating risks; Reviewing the risk register and associated budgets; Reporting commercial risk issues to the business directors.
