Our client is one of the leading civil engineering contractors currently operating in the UAE. The company is experiencing steady growth and has become one of the region's leading players in the civils sector. It has recently been awarded a number of major contracts including a 2 Km cut and cover Sub Sea Tunnel at Raha Beach (half way between Dubai and Adu Dhabi).

The tunnel will be built inside a marine cofferdam. With the associated approach works and Mechanical and Electrical Installation the contract value is approximately Dhs 450M (£60M). Work will commence in June with a 20 month construction period. Due to this recent contract award, the company has an immediate vacancy for a Senior Project Manager with experience gained with recognized contractors.

Candidates will needs to a strong dynamic characters, ideally Chartered and seeking increased responsibility. The successful candidate will be managing a team of 40-50 staff with a workforce peaking at 1,000. Must be able to manage and lead a large team. Contractually and commercially astute and comfortable dealing with Clients and Consultants. Must have thorough technical knowledge of large scale reinforced concrete construction.
