Designer/Toolmaker - Co. Tipp Our client, a multinational organisation who currently leading the field in the development and manufacture of class III medical devices used in the treatment of cardiological disorders, has asked us to recruit a Machine Designer/Toolmaker for a role based at their state of the art plant in Co. Tipp. Position Decription Design of fixtures and tooling related to manufacturing of Pacemakers and Defibrillators. Tooling and fixtures upgrades and working with Manufacturing Engineers on the Validation and Installation. Supporting manufacturing in resolving production issues. This involves the design and development of improvements which improve production yields, reduce the cycle time to produce products, reduce product/ process costs, and improve safety, ergonomics, and environmental aspects This position involves work with the engineering departments and developing concepts, prototypes and finished drawings for tooling builds, upgrades and development trials. Trouble shooting and fault finding all types of fixtures and tooling will also be required. Position Requirements Min 3-4 years exp as Qualified Toolmaker or equivalent with a design background. Extensive knowledge of machine and tool design using Solidworks drawing package. Knowledge of PRO Engineer drawing package an advantage but not essential. Good communication and organizational skills also required.
