Packaging Solutions Manager.
This role is being offered as a 12 months' fixed-term contract. 

We are seeking applications from high calibre candidates, for the position of Packaging Solutions Manager.

Key Responsibilities will include:
• Develop and execute Packaging strategy and project plans, which support the Ireland and Plant business objectives, through leadership of the Packaging Supply Team. Manage operation performance that supports these plans and metrics.
• Liaise and report regularly to the Plant Leadership teams and Packaging Steering team to ensure alignment on strategy and direction.
• Lead Ireland Packaging Strategy
• Work with the Packaging Supply Team to deliver portfolio of packaging development, supplier, supply chain and business improvement projects.
• As appropriate, lead and support global packaging initiatives and programmes working with key stakeholders.
• Manage key development projects

• Work closely with suppliers and customers to provide packaging solutions which are robust and ensure high levels of customer service as issues and opportunities arise.
• In conjunction with the Procurement Manager and Procurement Specialist develop and implement packaging supplier strategies which support business plans. Ensure that contingency and risk mitigation strategies are in place which support business needs.
• Work with suppliers to develop robust technical solutions as issues arise.
• Ensure that supplier audit schedule is executed and that corrective action plans are developed and followed through to completion.
• Work with legal and external regulatory bodies to ensure that packaging materials and processes comply with current and upcoming regulatory and legislative requirements.
• Keep abreast of latest technical and environmental developments in Packaging
• Support plant teams and plant packaging specialists as required
• Support Procurement Manager and lead specific procurement projects and initiatives as they arise.

•Qualifications / Experience
The ideal candidate will have Engineering / Material Science / Packaging degree and with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a related area.
