Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced  materials science person seeking an opportunity in Product Development with the world leader in welding and coating solutions.
 
Principle responsibilities of this role include:

• Development of new products
• Liaison with Customers, Group Marketing and Product Managers
• Customer complaint evaluation and quality department support.
• Review and improving existing products (specification).
• Liase with Production and Purchasing personnel on product cost and material evaluation.
• Supporting all technical and safety data information update and control.
• Support and develop product quality test criterion and procedures.
• Supporting production and projects in identifying and implementing process improvements.

Interested applicants for this role should have:
• Degree in Metallurgy or Materials Science or similar
• Solid metallurgical background with a practical and theoretical approach to product development.
• Individuals must be responsible, self motivated with the ability to work in a multifunctional team.
